About Julian...

Julian Jenkins started his career in music during his last two years in high school in the latter part of the 1980’s. As his small collection of records turned into a large one, he decided that being a Master of Ceremonies and Disc Jockey was a career choice he could believe in. Julian is also schooled in the art of photojournalism and photographed news events while living in Los Angeles, CA.  His wedding work is here: www.jenkinsphoto.com

"People say that I should have been a salesman because of my ability to speak well person to person and to large audiences, but I disagreed,” said Julian. “It’s important to me that I believe in what I promote.”

In his case, Julian is selling a service he believes to be the best for folks that want tasteful announcements and someone to facilitate their event plans professionally from their very first contact to the very last song played.

Most everyone agrees that entertainment can make or break any special event. Thirty years ago, live music was the only choice for special event musical entertainment. Today, with the advent of Professional Mobile Disc Jockeys, people are able to hand-tailor their event with non-stop, unlimited, authentic versions of their favorite songs by the original recording artists. This level of service started with records and has rightfully evolved to over 30,000 songs available in a professional Unix-based DJ computer system. Clients now have more control over staging, acoustics and volume than ever before. Julian honestly feels that this level of qualitative, personalized service has changed the entertainment market for the better. There is a whole host of Mobile DJs in the Treasure Valley and you might have a real task selecting the one most appropriate for your special event. Remember, your DJ will project to your family and friends your taste in music and announcements.

Pro Entertainment always arrives at the event site an hour or more before your guests. This allows ample time to set-up and sound check the equipment. This is done so that Julian can go over the itinerary with other vendors so they aren’t scrambling to get things at the last minute. Julian is at the helm, coordinating, announcing and keeping everyone informed for a smooth, successful event.

The most popular DJs can be booked at least 9-12 months in advance with prime dates such as weekends and holidays booking the earliest. Please do remember, you really do get what you pay for.

I’ll leave you with something a longtime wedding coordinator told me many years ago and it still rings true today, and I quote, “The bitter taste of poor quality lingers long after the bargain price is forgotten.”

Julian does diversify his learned skills and also photographs at weddings locally as well as nationally. He concurrently runs two companies  (Pro Entertainment and Jenkins Photography) with his wife, Kristin
